SELLING A DOG TO A UK RESIDENT - PLEASE READ We regularly have inquiries from the UK and we would like to explain here how it goes to sell a dog or puppy to a UK resident. The dog must be at least 3 months of age, be microchipped and receive the rabies vaccine. Then a 6 to 8 month wait is necessary in order to receive the authorization to export the dog to the UK. This 6 to 8 month wait goes no matter the age of the puppy or dog, because this is the time it takes to have all the blood tests results and paperwork done. Providing the tests are OK the dog can then travel, otherwise all must be redone with another 6 to 8 month wait. The cost for the lab and vet is approx. 200 € to be added to the price of the dog and his shipping. We don't intend to discourage you but just want you to be aware of the time it takes to export a dog to the UK. SELLING A DOG TO MOST EUROPEAN COUNTRIES - PLEASE READ It is normally quite simple to export a dog to most countries within the European Community. Between the age of 8 weeks to 3 months, the puppy only requires his passport, and first vaccine. By the age of 3 months the puppy must receive his rabies shot and cannot travel for a 30-day period, after which he can cross borders and go anywhere.
